As South Surrey continues to grow, many new communities are popping up all around the outskirts of the city. The neighbourhood of Pacific Douglas is a perfect example of this type of community. Even though prices are lower than some of the more established neighbourhoods, residents here still get to enjoy all the benefits of being near the beach and close to everything else that South Surrey has to offer.

Pacific Douglas is located east of Hwy 99, west of 176 th Street, and just north of the US/Washington border. Much of the area is still rural, but there are extensive plans for residential, commercial and municipal developments. If you enjoy visiting our neighbours to the south, there are two border crossings conveniently located on either side of the Pacific Douglas neighbourhood.

The Peace Arch Provincial Park is located on the southwestern side of the Pacific Douglas community. The iconic white Peace Arch sits in the park directly on the Canada/US Border. This backdrop is a popular location for newlyweds to take their wedding pictures. According to the history books, the arch is the world’s first known monument to peace. On the Canadian side, it is inscribed with the words “Brethren Dwelling Together in Unity”. On the American side, it says “Children of a Common Mother”.

There are several new subdivisions in Pacific Douglas that have been built over the last five years. One of the newest developments is called Summerfield Homes by Cressey Developments. Although the subdivision sold out a few years ago, some of the homes are now available for resale. These unique craftsman style homes are perfect for the growing family. Many of the houses feature an open concept floor plan and modern finishes.
